I’m always looking for recipes for breakfast. If you follow my blog you know that I hate eggs. I have tried to eat them but just can’t do it. So I have experimented with meatballs, chicken sausage and now hamburger and got rid of my preconceived ideas about what foods are eaten at breakfast.
I was so pleased with how tasty this dish was! I love this concoction and it will now rotate through my weekly breakfasts! I served it with fresh lime, avocado and a tall glass of icy spiced tea.
All week I have been creating with the Recollections Stamp set called Valentine’s Day. I have been video taping the creative process and planned to have a video tutorial at the end of the week. I am still learning the video editing process and have found that if you load the videos from the camera and come back a few hours later or the next day after everything is loaded using IMovie goes quicker. So that is what I did. When I came back to edit the videos they were not there and I had set my camera card to delete after loading and they were not on the card. Shock and horror was felt by me! I still wanted to put together a tutorial so I had to use my photos to create a slide show and voice over them.
I have made four cards using this set and as you can see I have only used a few of the stamps. This year I am trying to really use stamp sets in multiple ways. So far I am off to a good start. Here is a link to the posts in the event you would like to read or refer back to them, here, here and here.
I also made envelopes for all the cards(here is the Envelope Template) and have a recipe for home-made glue (Recipe for Home-Made Glue For Envelopes. I will be featuring this envelope template through-out the year so you can see all the ways you can use it and create personal, custom envelopes for your cards.
If you like my videos please give me a thumbs up as this tells YouTube you want to see more of them.
I have entered these cards on the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday challenges.
Here is card number 3 from this weeks series working with the Recollections Valentine Day stamp set.
To make this card I am using the make a tag die from the die-namics kit. The concept of the card is the same as the first two cards. You can follow the detailed instructions thru step 3 .I am using Neenah Black Card stock as the base of my card. I cut out the tags and adhered them to the card base with my tape runner. I stamped out the dogs but this time I cut them out after going around and highlighting each dog with a B000 comic marker. This helps to make the dogs pop a little from the page.
I used both the “XOXO” sentiment and the “Puppy Love” sentiment on this card. I am using foam tape adhesive to mount them to the card as I want to add some dimension on the page.
I use some black and white twine and insert it into the wholes at the top of the tag and tie I bow. I think this adds some extra interest to the card.
If you missed my first post in this series you will find it here.
I provided an envelope template in my second post here. I also promised a recipe for home-made glue for envelopes. You can download it here. Recipe for Home-Made Glue For Envelopes If you missed my post on how to make envelopes yourself you can find it here along with a template for an envelope you can down load, print and cut.
